The Pattani Biennale 2026 is an international exhibition of artists, which through artworks, concepts, processes, and conversations, offers a glimpse into the atmosphere and direction of art in 2026.  It is a contemporary art festival that opens public space for people to recognize one another's value as human beings, while questioning the relationship between art and the real world.

Pichai is honored to be among the artists invited to participate in this year's Biennale, and will be showing an installation piece, Beyond Loss II, that delves into the profound personal hardships and losses faced by fishing communities in Pattani province in the south of Thailand.

Building on his exhibitions Net Loss (2024) and Beyond Loss (2026) that explored the impact on Thai fishing communities in Pattani province in the south of Thailand in the aftermath of the destruction of unlicensed fishing vessels, Beyond Loss II offers reflections on the human cost of fishing for a living in a world undergoing upheaval, but also holds out the hope for a new future.
